Double LP on Oracle Smoke Vinyl

Palace For The People is the fifth full-length studio album by Greta Van Fleet. Released on October 9, 2026, it marks the end of a three-year hiatus following their 2023 album, Starcatcher.

The album’s title was inspired by London’s historic Alexandra Palace, which was originally nicknamed “The Palace of the People” because it was built as a public gathering ground rather than an exclusive space for elites. Bassist Sam Kiszka notes that after hearing stories from fans who made lifelong friends at concerts, the band began to see their own music as a shared “palace” where people can gather, connect, and seek shelter.

The deeply expressive album preserves the band’s signature sound while incorporating a fresh, modern edge. Songs on the album heavily explore concepts of human connection, shared resilience, transcendence, and humanity. The band wrote and recorded the tracks in a remote cabin in the Tennessee wilderness during the spring of 2026, insulating them from touring obligations so they could blend rough demos with spontaneous studio creations. For the first time, the band collaborated with producer Mike Elizondo (Turnstile, Fiona Apple, Dr. Dre) to help refine and anchor their cinematic arrangements. They also brought in outside specialist musicians to weave strings, brass, world rhythms, and heavy percussion elements directly into their rock instrumentation.
