It’s a long story …

Let’s just say it all started in 1987 … at the Lakeland, Florida, Civic Center. Danny Joe Brown and Molly Hatchet are the openers. Triumph hits the stage. Who knew three pasty Canadians could make so much freakin’ noise?!

Fast forward a few years and a few hundred shows later, and I’m rocking some serious Pete Townshend-level tinnitus. Am I bitching? Nope. It was worth every minute of it. But now I’m the guy with the studio-quality earplugs next to you at the festival. So, when it came time for a name for our new online record store, Deaf Man just seemed right. (Plus, we’re way too white for “Def Man” to work).

Here’s the promise … the Deaf Man brand, if you will: We’re your fiercely independent online record store. The place where you’ll find the best prices on vinyl records, concert shirts, record crates, record cleaning kits and more. We’re always looking for limited editions, 180-gram audiophile pressings and colored vinyl to bring you. Deaf Man’s selection of new and used vinyl records is carefully curated so that there’s no filler — and all killer! Your record collection will love you.

At the same time, you’re doing business with folks who eat, sleep and dream about vinyl. Your emails will get answered, your special orders will get ordered, and if there’s ever a problem, we’ll make it right. And did we mention FREE and FLAT-RATE Shipping? When you buy from us, you choose your shipping option — whether you live in Waukegan or Winslow, Arizona. If you spend $75 or more, we’ll ship your order FREE. Less than that, it’s only $5. And if you need it quickly, you can upgrade to $9 Priority Mail. We only charge extra for heavyweight items like turntables and speakers. That’s it … we like to keep it simple!

And you’ll love our no-BS record reviews. In fact, you can write one of your own, too. And Deaf Man’s Waxing Poetic Blog is loaded with tips on record care, storing your albums, grading and valuing your record collection, and more. In short, this is the place for people who love vinyl!
