This is the 1974 self-titled debut album that started the 50+-year iconic career of the Canadian band Rush. The original lineup included Alex Lifeson (guitar), Geddy Lee (bass/vocals) and John Rutsey (drums), who was replaced by Neil Peart four months after the release of this album. The lyrics were composed by Lee and Lifeson, and the album was recorded in Toronto. After a small initial release in Canada, the album gained traction when WMMS radio station in Cleveland, OH, added the song “Working Man” to their regular playlist.
