Led Zeppelin — In Through The Out Door
180-Gram Vinyl Remastered by Jimmy Page
This is an excellent remastering of what would sadly be the last album Led Zeppelin recorded prior to drummer John Bonham’s passing. The original In Through The Out Door album had an outer sleeve that was made to look like a plain brown paper bag. Each cover showed an alternate angle of a man in a bar. The scenario had been photographed from six different viewpoints within the bar and then six different sleeve variations were created (with the letters A-F at the top of the spine denoting each variation). The inner sleeve featured a “magic ink” in different colors, which appear on the design when it was gently wetted.
Jimmy Page painstakingly remastered all of Zep’s albums from the original master tapes, spending years on the project with one goal in mind: Making these reissues the end-all-be-all definitive editions of his iconic band’s records. He has succeeded, and then some. In addition to the reference-caliber audio, the LP features packaging that replicates the look of the original album.
