Johnny Cash & Marty Robbins — Gun Fighter Ballads

Regular price $24.95

180-Gram Vinyl LP

The very first American movie is said to be a Western — The Great Train Robbery, a 12-minute silent adventure was made in 1903. Since then, the Western has continued to pack cinemas and TV screens … and even the radio waves. Johnny Cash and Marty Robbins both proved to be more western than country, recording traditional cowboy classics like “Streets Of Laredo,” alongside their own original songs about outlaws and gunfighters. All the songs here were recorded between 1958 and 1962. Robbins died in 1982 and Cash died in 2003 … one would like to believe they both went with their boots on.
