Lost 1963 Recording Finally Released
Deluxe Edition Double Album
John Coltrane had a secret up his sleeve. In 1963, he recorded an album at the end of a two-week run at Birdland, which was unheard and undiscovered until 2004. Now, those special recordings are finally available, featuring Coltrane and his influential jazz quartet (McCoy Tyner, Jimmy Garrison and Elvin Jones) playing at the top of their game. This deluxe version includes seven bonus alternate takes of some of the tracks from the standard edition.
