2026 Release on Spark in the Dark Black Vinyl

Three-time Grammy winner Rodrigo’s highly anticipated third studio album follows her critically acclaimed LPs Guts and Sour. Rodrigo began teasing the new album’s thematic direction in an interview with British Vogue in March 2026. She indicated the album would predominantly feature “sad love songs,” saying that many of her favorite romantic tracks derive their appeal from an undercurrent of fear or longing. The album takes inspiration from Rodrigo’s time in London, and it will be her most experimental one yet.

Marking a stylistic departure from her first two albums’ pop sound and four-letter, single-word titles, You Seem Pretty Sad For A Girl So In Love nonetheless continues Rodrigo’s collaboration with Nigro, who returns as the new album’s producer. The album’s lead single, “Drop Dead,” was released on April 17.
