Bob Marley & The Wailers — Exodus
Limited Edition 180-Gram Vinyl w/Original Artwork
If you watched the 2024 biopic One Love about Bob Marley, you caught a glimpse of the time that shaped this landmark album. Recorded in London following an attempt on his life, 1977’s Exodus shows Marley mellowing a bit. Despite some powerful political tracks, Marley adopts a less fiery, more reflective approach than his previous outings.
Exodus was a success both critically and commercially; it received gold certifications in the US, UK and Canada, and was the album that propelled Marley to international stardom. Exodus was Marley’s 10th album since the debut album, The Wailing Wailers, in 1965, including the live album Live! (1975).
In 1999, Time magazine named Exodus the best album of the 20th century. In 2001, VH1 named it the 26th greatest album of all time. In 2023, the album was ranked #48 on Rolling Stone’s list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. This reissue features the original artwork, including the original gold metallic jacket with embossed lettering.
