Alice In Chains — Alice In Chains (30th Ann 2-LP)
PREORDER — RELEASE DATE: 1/30/26
Grammy Nomination for Best Hard Rock Performance
30th Anniversary Edition on Double Yellow Vinyl
Originally released in 1995, Alice In Chains’ self-titled album (aka the Dog Album or Tripod) is a dark and introspective work that marked the band’s final studio effort with vocalist Layne Staley. The record blends heavy, sludgy riffs with haunting melodies and acoustic textures, creating a sound that is both aggressive and deeply melancholic. The songs focus on heavy emotional content and subject matter, such as drug addiction, depression, spirituality, broken relationships, and the internal tensions within the band that were being fueled by Staley’s substance abuse.
The album reached #1 on the US Billboard 200 and was certified 2X Platinum, thanks in part to the hits “Heaven Beside You” and “Grind.”
