Regular price $31.95

Double-LP remastered from the original tapes

You don't get more rootsy than this whiskey soaked classic, featuring some of the very first recordings of Steve Earle, John Hiatt and Rodney Crowell. Filmmaker James Szalapski traveled to Texas and Tennessee in the last weeks of 1975 and the first weeks of 1976 to document a distinct moment in time when radical country artists were reclaiming the genre. To some, it was "outlaw," to others it was "progressive country." But whatever you call it, this is American music at its best. Highlights include Guy Clark’s brilliant Desperados Waiting For A Train, Steve Young’s stirring Alabama Highways and Towne Van Zandt’s harrowing Waiting Around To Die. Saddle up and ride!
