Charlie Pride — The Ultimate Hits: Concert Collection
180-Gram Vinyl LP
Regarded as the “Gentleman of Country,” Pride was known as a man full of joy with a peaceful heart. The black singer conquered a dominantly white music genre and won over fans with his comfortable demeaner and soft baritone. Pride’s greatest musical success came from 1961-1971, when he was the best-selling performer for RCA Records since Elvis, and had eight singles reach #1 on the Country charts. In 1971, he won the Country Music Association Entertainer of the Year and Top Male Vocal. In 2000, Pride was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. This greatest hits album includes “I’m So Afraid Of Losing You Again,” “Oklahoma Morning,” “Is Anybody Going To San Antone” and many more.
