Crosley Turntable — C100 (Silver)
Manual Belt-Drive Turntable with Switchable Pre-amp and Strobe Pitch Control
Good design, good cartridge (Audio-Technica) and a great price make the C100 an attractive sub-$200 choice.
Step it up a notch with Crosley’s C100 turntable, which features some higher-end touches — including an S-shaped tone arm with adjustable counterweight and a strobe pitch control. With a built-in phono preamp, it’s ready to blast right out of the box when paired with a set of powered speakers.
Nice feature: The adjustable counterweight and anti-skate control allow you to dial in the correct stylus pressure while tuning out skipping and distortion.
Be sure to check out our video on how to hook your new turntable to a stereo or AV receiver — even one that that doesn’t have built-in phono inputs.

A Sharp-Looking Turntable With Higher-End Features
Inspired by classic 1970s Technics turntables, the C100 has a timeless design. The brushed-silver finish will look great front-and-center in your living room or up on a shelf in your music room.
This one is super easy to set up and use — the turntable kicks on when you cue up the tonearm and move it into position and turns off when you return it after the record ends.
The adjustable pitch control uses a strobe light that allows you to fine-tune albums so that each note sounds as good (and as accurate) as it was intended to. The s-shaped tonearm holds an Audio-Technica moving magnet phono cartridge on a removable headshell (allowing you to upgrade cartridges if you choose).
You can plug the Crosley C100 straight into a pair of powered speakers, like the Crosley S100 or the Crosley S200, thanks to the built-in pre-amp. Or pump it through a traditional stereo receiver (switch the pre-amp off if you’re plugging into an old-school integrated amplifier).
The verdict: The perfect mixture of style and features — including the Audio-Technica AT3600L cartridge and the timing strobe — make this one of the better belt-drive turntable you're going to find for the money.
