Boston — Boston (Debut)

Regular price $27.95

Remastered 180-Gram Vinyl LP

“It’s Been Such A Long Time …” Tom Scholz famously recorded Boston’s debut album in his Massachusetts basement — obsessing over the sonic details for five years while holding down his day job as an engineer for Polaroid. Using new recording technology that he invented, he layered instruments and harmonies for a sound that can’t be mistaken for anyone else.

Boston’s first album sounds as brilliant and sharp today as it was in 1976, when Boston established the record for the biggest-selling debut of all time — a distinction that held until Guns N’ Roses came along 11 years later with Appetite For Destruction. It was hard enough for the rockers, melodic enough for the proggers, and with more than enough hooks for pop fans. A landmark album that dominates classic rock radio to this day.
