Audio-Technica got its start in Tokyo in 1962, designing and manufacturing high-performance phono cartridges. Founder Hideo Matsushita’s vision was to produce high-quality audio for everyone. Over the years, the family-owned business has grown to design critically acclaimed headphones, turntables and microphones — with the belief that high-quality audio should be accessible to all.
